These folks competed at the Austin Open Karate Championships this last weekend and all placed in several divisions. Toby, Darren, and Monty who are all Brown Belts swept the Brown Belt Forms division as well as the Amateur Weapons division taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in both events. They each took a 2nd place in their fighting divisions. Toby in Heavy Weight Brown, Monty in Middle Weight Brown, and Darren in Light Weight Brown. Michael placed 1st in forms and 3rd in sparring in his Yellow Belt divisions.

2. Newest Weapons Class
The next weapons class will begin on Monday March 24. The class will meet on Monday and Wednesday nights at 8:30 PM for two weeks. Each class is an hour long. The last weapons class on the Nunchakus was a good one which everyone enjoyed.
The cost of the weapons class is $40.00 for the course. If you need a weapon for the class that is an additional charge.
When: Monday March 24 & 31, Wednesday Mar 26 & Wednesday April 2
Time: 8:30 - 9:30 PM
Cost: $40.00 plus the cost of the weapon if necessary.
